Entering Hoodslam early on as Disco Matt, it was quickly revealed to be a ruse! Channeling the fighting spirit of RYU, he would find himself an early winner of the Golden GiG championship. He would find himself in a long series of wars with other world warriors, often teaming with and fighting against HBKen!
After an extensive run teaming with HBKen as Ryu, most notable going undefeated up until the finals in the Top of the SkyDreamers Miracle eXstacy Cup Championship, the Hidden Gem shed his karate gi AND his partner. He defeated him in a hair vs hair match, then survived the Rumble of Ranking Ramifications and winning a shot at the Golden Gig, which he’d parley into a Golden GiG run and became the only person to cleanly defeat Drugz Bunny in like …9 years?
He would lose the GiG in a fourway match without ever being defeated, but would soon after find himself as Best Athlete in the East Bay. When Da Squaaad cheated him out of this title in a match with D-Rogue, Matt Carlos snapped in a way that connected with audiences. His madness led him to pairing with an assortment of odd Hoodslammers against Da Squaaad, but these bonds were dissolved during the pandemic.
Upon our return, Matt Carlos and made peace with former HBKen, now known as Joe DeSoul. The two would be known as The Lost Treasures, and their no nonsense 90’s style quickly led to reigns as Intergalactic Tag Team Champions, most recently culminating at FTF 2022 in a Lost Treasures match against The Stoner Brothers.
